Bachelor Party In Atlantic City
EDITORIAL REVIEW
Start Off Easy
Depending on the weather and time of year, you might consider starting the boys off with a round of golf at
one of the great golf courses in Egg Harbor Township - t's only about 15 minutes
away from the city and you'll have plenty of options to choose from. Perhaps the
finest golf course in EHT is Harbor
Pines, a public course with lots of holes that will be fun for players
of any skill level. The clubhouse has a large deck that's a good spot for some
beers after the round - and don't worry, there's cart service available while
you're playing. Another good option is Twisted
Dunes, but it's lack of a nice clubhouse might dissuade your party from
hanging out there. However, it does have cart-service and the course is fun. The
least expensive choice is McCullough's Emerald Golf Links,
a solid course that has cart service and a small bar.
Dinner
You've probably worked up a decent appetite by this time; so if you'd like to eat right after golf, go to the
Library III restaurant on the Black Horse Pike. It's a real meat-eaters steakhouse where you order directly with the chef. You can't go wrong here.
If your party would rather get cleaned up before dinner, shower up and go to Angelo's Fairmont Tavern for dinner. The atmosphere is very friendly and will keep the party going while you have some great local Italian food. Try the house wine, it's fantastic.
Gentlemen's Clubs
OK, now it's time to really party. What bachelor party would be complete without a side-trip to see some boobies? Atlantic City has a wide array of strip clubs and they all hire a wide variety of girls to satisfy most tastes.
Your best bet is to cab around to a bunch of places and find one that suits the groom. Atlantic City is not very large, so your cab fare won't be either. The Playground and Bare Exposure are two popular strip clubs located right next door to each other on Pacific Avenue. Bare Exposure is BYOB and all-nude, a good way to keep expenses low and the spirit high.
Depending on your mood, you can either take one last chance at picking up girls in one of dance clubs such as
Déjà Vu or head directly to the casinos. There'll be plenty of women at the casino bars and you know you're going to wind up gambling anyway, so this is probably a better option.
Casinos
As far as guy's-night casino entertainment goes, your best bet is either the Borgata or
Caesars. The Temple Bar at Caesars is a good place to go if you're in a smaller party (just a couple of guys), but the Borgata can better accommodate larger parties. The Borgata's nightclub,
Mixx, has rooms available for rent where you can seat larger groups and a hot waitress will wait upon you.
It's usually easier if you stay at one of these two casinos so you don't have to travel much and can stay together, but cabs are readily available to take you anywhere you want to go.
Naughty Naughty
If you're not ready to call it a night, check out the yellow pages under "Escorts". It lists a bunch of strippers who will deliver straight to your door! Be sure to mention that it's a bachelor party and settle on a firm price to have the girls dance ("extras" are always extra and won't be negotiated on the phone). You'll find that without the pre-negotiation, there'll always be some last-minute haggling. You should expect this anyway, but at least you can tell them the price you were quoted and not feel like a jerk.
At this point of the evening it's important to get your cover stories straight, and collect the film from all the cameras. Hopefully everybody had a good time and
you've learned why Atlantic city is called America's Favorite Playground.
