Bill Borenstein joined Harrah's in 2002 as the Entertainment Manager for
the Showboat Casino. In 2003, he advanced to Director of Entertainment
for Harrah's and Showboat, and was just recently promoted to Director of
Entertainment for Atlantic City Operations, overseeing the Caesars,
Bally's, Showboat and Harrah's Entertainment Department.
Bill is an Atlantic City native. He graduated from Atlantic City High
School in 1985 and William Paterson College in Wayne, NJ in 1989. Over time, Bill has held positions in companies such as MTV, Universal
Studios Florida, the AT&T Bayfront Park Amphitheater in Miami, the show
Toughman, the Harlem Globetrotters, The Asheville Civic Center in North
Carolina and the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton. He is also a nationally certified
EMT.

How long have you lived in Atlantic City?
My family grew up in Margate and I have been back living in Atlantic City for 4+ years.

Married, my wife’s name is Pam.

Yes, one son Zachary

Two (2) things, the people I work with and White House Subs.
Describe your perfect day in Atlantic City.
Every day is perfect when you are part of a great team and have an awesome family.
What originally brought you to AC?
I came back to AC to work for Showboat as their Entertainment Manager and have continued to grow with the Harrah’s team ever since.
Where do you see the city in 10 years?
In 10 years, I am hopeful the city will have thousands of more hotel rooms which will enhance our position as a "year round" gaming, entertainment and convention destination.
What is your part in getting there?
My role is being part of an awesome team of customer focused technicians and staff professionals that books, produces and facilitates the best gaming and entertainment possible for all our customers, so that as the City grows, we have many exciting offerings for everyone.
Tell us about your favorite AC memory.
My favorite memory was last summer, walking with my wife and pushing my son on the Boardwalk in AC. Thinking there is nothing better in life than that moment. Knowing that my parents, my grandparents and my great grand parents were all able to experience the same memory with their families over different generations.
You’ve got two hours to kill on the boardwalk, what do you do?
Walk, relax and people watch....
What’s your favorite casino? Hotel? Bar? Restaurant? - and why?
Casino: Hotel/Casino: Caesars because it has that "Las Vegas Casino" feeling of elegance.
Bar: Harrah’s Eden Lounge. This is the best environment to hang out, grab a beer and watch a band.
Restaurant: White House Subs. Yes, I consider this a restaurant.
What three words describe Atlantic City best?
Exciting, Unpredictable, Successful

Split the 8’s and hope for the best. Life is all about risk. You need to take chances to be successful.
What would you most like to change about Atlantic City?
The city needs to have a better ‘welcome feeling". As we grow, I am hopeful the City’s master plan will give the City a friendlier feel.
What do you look for when selecting entertainment for Harrah's?
I look for quality entertainers that put on excellent performances and give us the extra support we need to make our dates a success. They need to understand it is all about the customer and that is key.
