Bob
Kephart is serious about comedy. Though he may not have the name recognition
of the many upstart performers that have romped on his Comedy Stop stages,
Kephart has been on the cutting edge of standup for more than two decades. A
passion for comedy has been his personal gasoline, fueling success for three
Comedy Stop locations, two in Nevada and at the Tropicana's Quarter in AC.

Describe your perfect day in Atlantic City.
Go to the Tropicana, go to VIP services, get a limo and go to New York.
What originally brought you to AC?
Alimony court order- something about a sheriff!
Why do you think Atlantic City has become so hot over the last couple of
years?
Well the casinos finally realized that they had to give something back to
the customer. Borgata started it and now everyone ids trying to compete at
that level. Right now it's a tie between the Tropicana Quarter and Borgata.
Where do you see the city in 10 years?
If the state of New Jersey doesn't eventually support Atlantic City- instead
of taking all the profits up North - we will not be too much different.
What is your part in getting there?
I have invested a lot of time, money
and TLC to make the Comedy Stop the best club in the country with the best
acts - we have survived 22 years of myopic hotel management and political
chaos, we are still the longest running and funniest show in Atlantic City
in spite of all that.

Two girls & me in a suite at Caesars
You've got two hours to kill on the boardwalk, what do you do?
Go to one
of the bars on the beach.
What's your favorite casino? Hotel? Bar? Restaurant?
Of course this is slanted, but the Tropicana still has the best overall
amenities. The Comedy Stop has the best bar, check it out! Great Restaurant?
Sorry Atlantic City, it's Ventura's Greenhouse in Margate.
Why should I go to the Comedy Stop?
Three reasons: best comics, best club, best prices.
Is there one comedian who's your favorite?
Honestly, I don't have a favorite. We had many start at the club- Rosie
O'Donnell, Tim Allen, Drew Carrey, Lewis Black, Ray Romano, Richard Jeni-
for straight ahead funny and prolific writing, Jeni is the funniest white
man in America.
If Atlantic City were a comedian, who would it be - and why? (eg.
Unpredictable like Robin Williams, Weird like Emo Phillips) Judy Tenuta,
look at how people dress on the boardwalk.
Is there a difference between AC comedy and Vegas Comedy?
We use the same performers; the difference is that people in Vegas are more
relaxed and ready to have a good time. Atlantic City has that East Coast
Mentality - "well that was okay, show me more!"

Where's the Airport?
Dealer shows 17 you've got a pair of 8s - how do you play them?
