From being a child playing the banjo with his brothers and father to today
being the front man of the Bubba Mac Blues Band, music has always been a
part of Herb "Bubba” Birch’s world. Bubba retired from the
healthcare world 6 yrs ago to open the Bubba Mac Shack with his son Mac in
Somers Point.

Every summer for my whole life
and as a resident for 11 years.

The ocean as well as the variety of live music.

perfect day in Atlantic City.
Walking on the boardwalk, going to one of the
beach bars, having lunch, and then ending it with a good show at the House
of Blues.
What originally brought you to Atlantic City?
Spending summers
here as a small child.
Where do you see the city in 10 years?
Continue and
grow to be a vacation destination, not just a casino town.
What is your part
in getting there?
The Bubba Mac Shack concept offers a type of ambiance
conducive to the vacationer, local, or whole family wanting to experience
great food, music, and fun.

When our
band (the Bubba Mac Blues Band) played in the Miss America parade.
You’ve
got two hours to kill on the Boardwalk, what do you do?
Take a nice walk up
and down the boardwalk and enjoy the scenery.
What’s your favorite casino?
Hotel? Bar? Restaurant? And why?
I enjoy them all for different reasons but
my favorite casinos are definitely the ones that offer a variety of live
music.
What three words describe Atlantic city best?
Money, fun, sun.
