I started in the culinary industry at age 11, partially because my stepfather owned 3 restaurants. I started with washing dishes and worked my way through practically every restaurant job. I finally got a job at the Longport Inn. I then became the Sous Chef at Cousin's Country house and worked there for three years. I left to become the kitchen manager at a chain restaurant, and then became Executive Chef of Chet's in Mays Landing and Galloway. In 2000 I left to open Jonathan's.

We offer a menu that is unique and special. We offer great portions and prices.

Yes, our menu is different; it has a huge selection of items. My food is what I call New Age fusion, I try to combine different styles and foods that don't necessarily belong together- or aren't thought to work together. We have a large menu with 15 appetizers, dry-aged steaks and prime rib, seafood, veal, chicken dishes, salads and more. The daily specials change three times a week.

The Borgata because it is geared towards the young people- it's fun and filled with ambiance geared toward my age.

Lots of the wild things I've seen took place in the clubs mentioned above, but there are none I can tell you about.
