Among other things, Mike Hofeld is an Action Junkie. So much so, he is bringing two of his biggest projects to Atlantic City this Fall. First is the documentary Action Junkies, a film focused on the pro poker lifestyle. Closely on the heels of this project, Mike is following up with the launch of AtlanticCity TV, a whole new way to view AC on your monitors and television screens.
Describe your perfect day in Atlantic City. Me and the entourage roll into town and take it by storm! LOL. I go play a terrific round of golf at AC Country club then head to a movie at the Imax theater. Dinner at Mexico, Morton's AND PF Chang's. (I like food). Then out to Murmur where I meet identical twin nymphomaniacs who are chubby-chasers.
Are you married or single? I am happily single. I was voted sexiest bachelor over 200 pounds by Fat Man Quarterly (FMQ) in 2005.
What is your part in getting there? I always try to look towards the next horizon. I'm a presently involved in the launch of AtlanticCity.TV We are developing television programs for and about Atlantic City. The company is working on deals to distribute the shows all over the United States.
Also my production company Slow Roll Productions is filming a documentary about the average guy taking on the lifestyle of a pro poker player. The film is called Action Junkies and will be shooting in Atlantic City during all of September and part of October.
Where do you like to hang out in AC? The Hofeld likes to kick it at the Foundation Room in the House of Blues. Also being an avid poker player I can easily be found in the Taj or Borgata poker room.
Are you an Action Junkie? For sure. For sure. I will bet on anything; go karts, golf, video games, poker- you name it. That is how I got hooked on the idea for the movie Action Junkies. I can't wait to see it. There are some major poker stars like Daniel Negreanu in it along with some up and coming players like Chris Smith, Matt Stout and the infamous Shawn Chaconas.
