Montgomery Dahm, a former Marine, has had an entrepreneurial streak dating
back to childhood. His nomination for Young Entrepreneur of The Year by
Commerce Bank exemplifies his lifetime drive for excellence as well as his
keen insight and ability to seize great opportunities, most recently
founding Atlantic City's first Microbrewery - Tun Tavern.
As an undergraduate at Penn State University, Monty became skilled in the
art of business management, which he then utilized to establish a highly
lucrative automobile retail business as well as a multi million dollar
telecommunications consulting firm.
Monty's business experiences and Marine Corps training supplied him with
the self-motivation and discipline to manage a successful company. Upon
learning the historical significance of Tun Tavern being the birthplace of
the Continental Marines, Monty joined the Tun Tavern Foundation, and in
1991, he obtained the Tun Tavern trademark for his lager.
Nearly a decade later, Monty brought the Tun Tavern trademark to Atlantic
City, NJ, where it continues to make historical precedence as the city's
first Brewery & Steakhouse using pure Atlantic City water - voted to be
the best in the country.
In combination with the creative talents of Executive Chef John Hoover
and the unique abilities of Brewmaster Ted Briggs, Monty has given Atlantic
City patrons a delightful and unparalleled restaurant & brewery
experience.
