Director
of Marketing and Tourism for Gordon Group Holdings; an international developer specializing in
entertainment-oriented retail development; Tracy's brought his talent to
what will be The Pier at Caesars in Atlantic City.
The Pier at Caesars, set to open in 2006, is nearly 300,000 square
feet of high-end retail shops, dining venues, and entertainment, located at
the crossroads of the Boardwalk and Caesars Atlantic City.
Do you live in or near Atlantic City?
No, I actually live in Center City, Philadelphia, and yes, I do the commute everyday.
What do like most about Atlantic City?
Currently, I am enjoying the renaissance and transformation that is occurring in Atlantic City, it reminds me of when Philadelphia was experiencing the same growth.
Describe your perfect day in Atlantic City
75-degree weather (no humidity), walking on the Boardwalk just taking in life and watching happy people enjoy this historic destination.
When was the first time you visited AC?
As a child with my parents.
Where do you see the city in 10 years?
Front cover of Condi Nast Traveler as the #1 destination on the east coast.
What is your part in getting there?
The Pier at Caesars opening in Atlantic City will help continue to transform the image of Atlantic City, but it's a total community initiative here. Many new businesses are coming to Atlantic City, and existing businesses are working hard to improve their look, services and image. Together, all of this is creating a consistent brand message to the general public that says, "Atlantic City is a dynamic destination that you have to experience."
Do you have a favorite AC memory?
I am beginning to create them, I am sure if you ask me this question one year from now, I will have thousands!
Do you play in the casinos? If so, what's your game and where do you play?
My gambling consist only in the form of driving through the EZ pass lane...
You've got two hours to kill on the boardwalk, what do you do?
In a perfect world having two hours these days would be amazing, but I would start with a Bombay sapphire dirty martini up with olives followed by a great dinner, and of course shopping!!
Why should I go to the Pier at Caesars?
For a lifestyle ex"PIER"ence like no other. The Pier at Caesars has so much to offer the public through its retail, dining and entertainment offerings, not to mention traveling by Tram to the Pier at Caesars, utilizing our wedding chapel, and watching our show at the waters edge. The Pier will be unlike any shopping destination in the region and a must see for all to visit, enjoy and continually return to. It is my personal belief that when it's completed, The Pier will become the next postcard for Atlantic City.
Is there something that I will only find there and not other AC destinations?
Absolutely! But I can't disclose many of those details at this time.
What's your favorite casino? Hotel? Bar? Restaurant? - and why.
"hmmm"... My PR hat forces me to say...I like them all!!! Actually, they all offer something for everyone.
What's your favorite thing to do in AC outside the casinos?
Hanging out with friends, dining within the local flavor of AC, while also just watching, listening and observing what the general public is doing so that we can continue to measure their needs and raise the bar on expectations. What three words describe Atlantic City best?
"Raising the bar"
