Atlantic City is bigger and better then ever before. Be sure to check out all of the new and trendy attractions Atlantic City has to offer now and in the coming months! Ruth's Chris You can now find the sounds and smells of sizzling steaks at the new Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Located at 2020 Atlantic Avenue near the mouth of the AC Expressway, Ruth's Chris occupies the former location of the Babalu Grill in the Walk. An improved valet parking system resolves many of the parking problems that plagued Babalu and makes dining at this renowned eatery a breeze. Ruth's Chris Steak House specializes in broiling custom-aged, USDA prime beef in its trademark 1800-degree oven to lock in natural flavor and tenderness. Steaks are topped with butter and seasoning and are served on a sizzling 500-degree plate. Ruth's Chris got its start in May of 1965, when Ruth Fertel saw that there was a local New Orleans restaurant, the Chris Steak House, for sale. A single mother with no previous restaurant experience, she mortgaged her home and bought the restaurant, renaming it the Ruth's Chris Steak House. Today there are 90 Ruth's Chris locations.
Gallagher's Steakhouse
Adding to Atlantic City's growing steak restaurant wars is Gallagher's Steakhouse. Due to open soon at Resorts, the famous NYC restaurant is coming directly from Broadway to the Boardwalk. The rich history of Gallagher's began when it was a speakeasy and gathering place for gamblers, sports figures and showbiz folk. When the sale of liquor was legalized in 1933, Gallagher's became Broadway's first steakhouse and was the first to serve the "New York Strip" steak. Gallagher's eschewed the plush elegance that was then in favor as restaurant décor by going back to the basics: plain plank floors, woodpaneled walls and red checked tablecloths - an informal amalgamation of speakeasy and country inn. You'll find the same simple elegance at Resorts Atlantic City. Also look for Gallagher's to open a bar on the same level, which will be open in advance of the restaurant.
40/40 Club
Jay-Z is in the hizzy. Apparently Jigga man has retired from banging out hits in the studio to banging in nails at his new club. Modeled after the successful club in New York City, construction is complete on Atlantic City's own 40/40 Club. The multi-level, upscale sports bar and lounge is now open and features more than 30 Plasma TV's and exclusive VIP rooms. There's also a cigar lounge and retail shop that carries 40/40 Club clothing and accessories. The enormous 15,000 square foot ultra sports bar and lounge is located at 2120 Atlantic Avenue at The Walk. The name of the club is derived from the very exclusive group of baseball players who have hit 40 home runs and stole 40 bases in the same season. The only players to have accomplished this feat are Jose Canseco, Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez. We hope Jay-Z hits a home run with this one.
25 Hours
The 25 Hours bar inside Resorts Atlantic City is a retro-chic lounge that's ready to serve you a drink whenever you're ready to have one. Always open, the lounge is located right off the casino floor yet conveys an intimate ambiance. Cocktail servers don "French Coats" - a mini version of the trench - and originals like the Bloody Mary and the Margarita are given a creative twist. "25 Hours has a very distinct flair," says John Tunney, President of Tunneyvision and consultant on the project. "There are plenty of uninspired casino bars in Atlantic City, but for the Resorts guest, I wanted them to experience something they can only get here - The Painkiller, the Snake Eyes and the Coconut Martini - every hour, on the hour." Tunney is also quick to point out the distinctive level of service offered at 25 Hours remarking that "This is a place you'll want to frequent not just some of the time, but every time you're in Atlantic City; it's a throwback to the days when your bartender was your friend and having a cocktail was a true experience."

Licking our chops, waiting to open The Pier At Caesars
What is 200 feet wide, reaches 900 feet into the Atlantic Ocean and resembles a 70-story glass skyscraper lying on its side? The Pier at Caesars, of course. And while the exterior is aesthetically amazing, what's going on inside is simply spectacular. Nine restaurants will cater to virtually every taste or budget. There's Sonsie, a café with a bistro menu and the Dubliner Irish Bar and Restaurant, which will feature contemporary Irish fare. A sports bar, Game On!, will serve pub food. Restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow will openRumjungle and a family-style Italian restaurant with Chef Todd English. The popular Phillips Seafood Restaurant will open with a carryout program, along with a sushi bar named Blowfish. Philadelphia's Stephen Starr will re-create Buddakan and The Continental. Planned retailers A/X Armani Exchange, Bebe, Burberry, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Tommy Bahama's Vilebrequin, and Tiffany & Co. will expand Atlantic City's shopping options. What could possibly top off this amazing list of names and concepts? How about a wedding chapel on the fourth floor called The Atlantic Club.
The Walk Expansion
Not only can they talk the talk, they can also walk the walk. Let's give a hand to Atlantic City Outlets - The Walk. What began as a twinkle in the eye of the Cordish Company of Baltimore and the CRDA in 2002 is mostly completed as of 2005. Or so you thought - because Phase 2 is about to begin. As The Walk nears 100% occupancy in early 2006 with the additions of London Fog, J. Jill, Borders Outlet (rejoice book lovers!) and Ruby Tuesday, plans to more than double The Walk's size are underway. Cordish Company is taking the current 320,000 square foot complex and adding an additional 350,000 square feet of international brand retail stores, restaurants, entertainment and class-A office and residential units. Oh, and there's parking too. Phase 2 of The Walk will proceed downtown from Michigan Avenue encompassing both sides the entryway of the A.C. Expressway. When it's completed, Atlantic City Outlets - The Walk will encompass 15 city blocks and total $300 million in Atlantic City investment.
Borgata Gets Bigger & Better
Who would have thought that the epitome of cool could get any cooler? Borgata has already taken style and class to a whole new level in Atlantic City, but the big B isn't stopping there. Borgata's 500,000 square foot expansion is sure to leave a lasting impression. The first phase will add slots, table games and expand the poker room from 34 to 85 tables. Also in the works is a new ultra nightclub and an increase of 30% to Spa Toccare. Tuck your napkin into your collar because three famous chefs are also taking a seat at the table. By next summer Bobby Flay will open his first steakhouse, Bobby Flay Steak. And both Wolfgang Puck and Michael Mina will make their East Coast debuts in Atlantic City. Puck will open the self-titled restaurant, Wolfgang Puck American Grille, and Mina will open Seablue. But, of course, Borgata isn't stopping there. The expansion's second phase, planned to end in 2007, will feature a 43-story hotel tower with 800 guestrooms and suites, and its own spa and indoor-outdoor pool. Borgata's investment for both phases will be $525 million.
