EDITORIAL REVIEW
The Atlantic City Aquarium features 100 varieties of marine life swimming around in 30,000 gallons of seawater for your viewing pleasure and underwater education. One of the newest and most exciting exhibits for 2007 is the Shark and Ray Touch tank which allows brave visitors to reach their hands right into the water to feel and handle two species of cat sharks and three species of rays. Twice daily, guests can even hand-feed these fascinating creatures.
If you’re looking for more oceanic thrills and chills, be sure to stop by the Piranha tank, also new for 2007. You don't want to touch these little guys as a school of Piranha can devour a cow in minutes. Another popular exhibit is the live Dive and Dine show in which you get a front-row seat to divers feeding various aquarium residents, including the dangerous sharks.
And while you’re having fun making friends with undersea predators, be sure not to forget the aquarium's familiar stand-bys. Families can still enjoy visiting with Groman the Giant Loggerhead Turtle, local marine inhabitants in the Fish of the Atlantic Ocean and Mullica River tanks and more exotic species in theCoral Reef, Seahorse, Moon Jellies, Moray Eel, Terrapin, Bearded Dragon, Clownfish & Anemones, Tropical Rainforest and Ocean Oddities tanks.
For more hands-on experience, you can interact with additional sea creatures in the aquarium’s familiar Touch tanks. Seeing, touching, feeding and learning—you’ll find that a visit to the aquarium is fun and educational for guests of all ages.
