TRUMP TAJ MAHAL

The Trump Taj Mahal, with its Virginia Avenue and the Boardwalk location and distinction as the city's first multi-billion dollar casino, will always be one of the Seven Wonders of Atlantic City. And we have the facts to back it up. Consider this: from the 51st floor, at 429 feet above sea level, you are standing atop one of the tallest man-made structures in New Jersey; the Taj is made from 4 1/2 times more steel than the Eiffel Tower; and, if laid end to end, the building support pilings would stretch the 62 miles from Atlantic City to Philadelphia.

The gaming hall at the Taj covers 152,000 square feet, offering more than 4,400 slot machines and nearly 250 gaming tables, including 68 poker tables. The Poker room is particularly lively, offering lots of action in a comfortable, elegant room. In fact, the poker room was featured in the 1998 film, "Rounders," starring Matt Damon and Edward Norton. The gaming hall is generally well balanced between table games and slot machines. And the Simulcasting Room features up to 20 tracks daily (dependent upon scheduling).
The Taj has plenty of dining options available. A particular favorite is the Hard Rock Cafe. There are also gourmet restaurants inside the complex: Safari Steak House, Mark Anthony's and Dynasty, in addition to more casual eateries such as the Sultan's Feast international buffet, Sbarro pizza, The Rim, The Casbah Cafe, Boardwalk Treats and Royal Albert's Palace, a unique venue serving up authentic Indian cuisine.
The most popular nighttime attraction at the Taj is undoubtedly the Casbah Nightclub. On weekends, the line can get outrageous but it's usually worth the wait. Lots of hot bodies pack the dance floor and boogie till dawn. Ego Bar & Lounge is another great venue (albeit less crowded and frenetic) to enjoy a drink and live music on Friday and Saturday nights. The Taj also provides headliners at two one-site, major entertainment venues -- the lavish Xanadu Showroom and the popular Mark G. Etess Arena. 

Ready for another over-the-top-luxe statistic? The Taj's Alexander the Great Suite is the ultimate residence at 4,500 square feet with its own steam room, sauna, weight room, bar, lounge, living room, pantry, master bedroom and one guest room. Cost for one night: $10,000! But, don't worry. The Taj offers some more affordable accommodations as well in their 51-floor hotel tower of 1,250 guestrooms, including 237 suites. Fine amenities include a state-of-the-art Health Club and Fitness Center with a near Olympic-sized indoor pool. The spa also offers Jacuzzi, steam baths, tanning booths and sundecks. The Taj has a nice array of boutiques, including Bernie Robbins Fine Jewelry and Cache, for your shopping pleasure as well.
