Dock's Oyster House
EDITORIAL REVIEW
The Dougherty family knows what they're doing. You don't keep a restaurant in your family for four generations (since 1897) and become a local icon on luck alone. Dock's is easily the best traditional seafood house in the area, and it's easy to see why upon walking in. You'll come in to more often than not being greeted by a Dougherty, and then the menu will take center stage. The lobsters range from two to six and a half pounds, and the oyster stew is made with the same 1897 vintage recipe. Don't forget that there's always the item that gave the place its name - the oyster bar, which usually offers about a dozen choices. Oysters come from as nearby as Cape May and as far as British Columbia. No seafood enthusiast should pass on Dock's. It's just that good, and for any reason: dress up and enjoy the best seafood in town.

If you miss this place, it is your loss 10.0 Stars
My first time trying a variety of oysters and a version of oysters rockafeller* that hit the mark and then some. The samplers are the way to go to get a feel for first timers as i was. I will be going back for the lobsters. there were those around me who went as far as sucking the shells of the tails to get all the meat out. The prices are right and the wait staff know what to recommend for you what to and not drink with your meals. someone wanted a high end wine and was told he can order what he wants but some wines bring out the metallic taste of an oyster. This place has been a part of the History of Atlantc City and there is a reason. they care and the food shows it. i will be back. i hope this peaks seafood lovers interest. i love Dock's!

WE GIVE IT A 10 ++++++ !!!!! 10.0 Stars
My husband took me here for my birthday, October 2nd. It was one of the best restaurants we have ever been to! The best seafood and steak around - by far! We highly recommend the Crab Ceasar salad-yummy!The piano man playing in the backround adds romantic touch too. Rating 1-10, we give Doc's a 12!!! We'll be back soon!
