Pickles Deli
EDITORIAL REVIEW
If you’re looking for a piled-high New York deli sandwich, then Pickles Deli is the place for you – especially since the demise of the Stage deli at the Taj. You can find some classic deli treats such as Reubens, enormous corned beef sandwiches and a killer matzo ball soup. They also serve some lighter dishes such as salads and small appetizers. If you still have room, try the famous strawberry tall cake. Open daily for lunch and dinner, 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday to Friday and until midnight on Saturday.

I was totally offended before we even got into the restaurant. I had never been there before and we were second in line when they opened. We followed the sign for "cash" patrons and were first in that line. The female in charge began taking all the people in the "Diamond Club Card" line and ignored us. Then a male person appeared and continued to seat only those people in the "Diamond" line. When that line finished my friend stepped up and asked to be seated. The male asked for his "Diamond" card and when my friend stated he didn't have one he was told they have to seat the holders of that card first and my friend was pushed back into the cash line and the male abruptly pulled the dividing strap farther into the dining area to keep us where we belonged. By this time other people were arriving in the "Diamond" line and were being seated. So, potentially, we could still be standing there. I am not sure why their money is better than ours nor why this male wait staff needed to be so rude, arrogant and unprofessional. We left without being seated. I plan to advise everyone I know of this deplorable example of customer service. They are a disgrace.
