Renault Winery Gourmet Restaurant
EDITORIAL REVIEW
Renault Winery has made a great reputation for itself over the past few years by combining a working winery and tasting session, a hotel, a golf course, and two restaurants. The Gourmet Restaurant at Renault is the sister outlet to Joseph's. The atmosphere is undeniably that of a winery, as some of the restaurant's booths are made from original 100-plus-year-old oaken wine casks. Stained glass with antique furnishings and a stone fireplace, combined with a gazebo in the room's center remind diners of rich and varied history on the Renault property. Guests are advised to set aside two or more hours for the experience of the Gourmet Restaurant, which is about a half-hour drive from the casinos. The innovative and exciting menu invites guests to choose from a menu of eight exquisitely prepared entrees, while the Executive Chef designs the rest of the meal for you by selecting the evening's appetizer, soup, pasta, cold sorbet intermezzo, and salad along with two wine samplings. A selection of wine-based exotic drinks and Renault wines are also available at the bar. In perhaps the ultimate irony, a winery property does not hold a full liquor license, so the bar is limited to in-house productions and wine cocktails. Vocalist Alphonse serenades the dinner guests through their meals and best of all, dancing is encouraged. Reservations are strongly recommended. The Gourmet Restaurant is open for dinner only on Friday from 5pm to 8:30pm and Saturday 5pm to 9pm. Sunday Brunch is served 10am to 2pm and Sunday dinner is from 430pm to 730pm.
