Ventura's Greenhouse

Philadelphia Weekly called Ventura's Greenhouse "a place to get hit on while sipping a strawberry daiquiri". Located in the shadow of Lucy the Elephant in Margate, Ventura's has a spacious beach-view upstairs deck (open late spring through summer) features a raw bar with clams on the half shell, and peel-it-yourself shrimp. The downstairs deck and cozy café (which is open year-round) serves up decent pizza, the best of which is the white with fresh steamed spinach, garlic and sliced tomatoes. The Greenhouse also serves some of Absecon Island's best cheesesteaks, served on mammoth Italian rolls. There's also s selection of Italian dishes. Ventura's Greenhouse is also a spot for great summertime people-watching.
