Wolfgang Puck (Spago, Postrio, Chinois and Trattoria del Lupo), America's culinary legend, brings his innovative California cuisine to Borgata Hotel casino & Spa at his signature restaurant Wolfgang Puck American Grille, his first venture on the East Coast. The restaurant reflects his acclaimed comfort food showcased in a luxurious space designed by Tony Chi of tonychi and associates (Asiate in New York, Azul In Miami, Spoo in Hong Kong, and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Las Vegas). Wolfgang Puck American Grille offers two distinctive dining experiences, each with a different menu. Guests enter the restaurant upon an elevated terrace "patio" (1.20 seats) which hangs above Borgata's pedestrian walkway creating a great place to people-watch in a casual, informal setting. The main dining room (100 seats) is more formal, and is separated by a magnificent bar and exhibition kitchen featuring Puck's signature pizza oven. There are also two multipurpose! private dining rooms (50 seats), which can open onto Puck's first-ever Chef's Table in the kitchen, an excellent space for parties and private gatherings. The restaurant's bar is open late into the evening and offers signature cocktails, wine and small bites. Joining Puck in this culinary venture is New Jersey native Executive Chef Lee Hefter, and Chef Mark Josie, who will helm Wolfgang Puck American Grille on a daily basis. CUISINE Wolfgang Puck's signature cuisine embodies the essence of his West Coast experience: the carefree and casual lifestyle, easy foods, pizza and pasta, and grill. Now, East Coast diners and Borgata guests will be able to experience Puck's cuisine in a setting that is at once casual and upscale. The exciting and extensive menu marries the favorite selections from Spago Beverly Hills and Postrio in San Francisco. Puck will offer his signature pizzas and pastas as well as flavorful steaks served in a sizzling skillet. Wolfgang Puck American Grille will feature popular Puck selections such as the Smoked Salmon Pizza, Potato Chips with Truffled Blue Cheese and even Austrian specialties like Spaetzle and Schnitzel. DESIGN West Coast meets East Coast in Tony Chi's innovative design for the Wolfgang Puck American Grille. The design of the restaurant is a celebration of autumn - the most colorful and warming of seasons - combined with the cheerful and casual California lifestyle that is so much a part of the Wolfgang Puck image. There is a sensual palette of colors and textures that beautifully reflects the East Coast, with the Fall red, gold, and amber color scheme inspiring the dramatic 'Palling Leaves feature of the ceiling in the front of the restaurant. Streaked with light, the leaves provide a dazzling and inviting textural canopy over the tavern dining area and bar. The theme is continued through the etched nickel surrounding the wood-burning pizza oven in the patio kitchen, and into the warm glow of the open fireplace in the dining room and the wooden logs featured in the overall design. The open yet intimate booths are also an essential pad of the Wolfgang Puck California dining experience, promoting intimacy and privacy while still part of the excitement and activity of the main dining area.
