Boyz II Men first got together in 1991 when the boys were students at Philadelphia's School for Performing Arts. After they sang a cappella for New Edition member Michael Bivins, the Boyz secured their first recording contract with Motown.
Their debut album was the multimillion dollar seller, CooleyHighHarmony. The group set records on the R&B/pop charts with such smash hit singles as "I'll Make Love To You" and "End of the Road." It was the latter that ultimately broke Elvis Presley's record for longest running single at number one with "Heartbreak Hotel." Other hits included "On Bended Knee" and "One Sweet Day" featuring Mariah Carey.
Boyz II Men released six more top-selling albums following
CooleyHighHarmony. The group has sold over 60 million albums worldwide. Their list of awards includes such accolades as Grammys, American Music Awards, World Music Awards, NAACP Image Awards and Soul Train Music Awards.
The group now records under their own new label, MSM Music Group for the first initials of their last names. Their latest album, Throwback, is a tribute to timeless classic and features remakes of Michael Jackson's "Human Nature," Al Green's "Let's Stay Together," and Daryl Hall and John Oates' "Sara Smile."
