Currently in his 14th season as host of the Emmy Award-winning and top-rated "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," each show's beginning monologue sets the tone for the evening which has included interviews with presidents, hundreds of celebrities and other notable guests.

One of the country's premier comedians, Leno's "everyman" style and personality have earned him millions of loyal fans worldwide whether on stages or performing for military troops or at special events.

Prior to becoming host of "Tonight," Leno served as the exclusive guest host on "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" as well as made numerous special appearances on the show throughout the years.

In April of 2004, Leno published the children's book, "If Roast Beef Could Fly," which immediately became a New York Times bestseller. In addition, he has written the popular books "Leading With My Chin" and "Headlines" which is a compilation of books and desk calendars featuring his favorite funny newspaper lines and more.

Born in New Rochelle, New York, Leno is honored to have received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as well as being selected as the first person to drive the pace car in all major NASCAR events.
