Caesars is one of the premier casino resorts in Atlantic City. The resort entered the new millennium with the completion of a $280 million expansion project. Part of this project included a new facade, which is still one of the most captivating sights on the Pacific Avenue strip.
Marbled entrances and classic sculptures set the tone for a unique vacation experience where the excitement of world-class gaming meets the majestic setting of ancient Rome.
The regal atmosphere continues inside with the beautiful Temple Lobby. The impressivel area has Doric columns, flowing fountains and an awe-inspiring faux sky that resembles a mystic Roman twilight. Caesar Augustus stands aloft in the corner, guarding this regal setting which once earned the resort a Gold Medallion Award from “Casino Executive Magazine”.
Caesars has more than 1,400 guestrooms and suites divided between the new Centurion Tower and the Temple Tower. Standard rooms are tastefully designed in soft pastel colors and feature all the modern amenities of a first-class resort. One amenity highlight, especially for die-hard gamers, is that the television in each guestroom offers the ability to receive credit card cash. Guests who might appreciate a shorter walk between their room and the casino or parking garage are encouraged to ask for a room in the Temple Tower.
Caesars has one of the largest casino floors in the city, boasting more than 120,000 square feet of gaming space. With 135 table games ranging from Blackjack to Pai Gow to Caribbean Stud Poker, there is plenty of action for all types of players. Prefer the slots? Caesars has 3,595 slots machines and is the only casino in town to offer slots in denominations of 5-cents, 10-cents, 25-cents, 50-cents, $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $25, $50, $100, and $500. Of course there’s also simulcast horse racing, a keno and poker lounge, a baccarat salon, and a non-smoking section on the second floor.
Aside from high-action gaming, Caesars is renowned for bringing world-class entertainment to Atlantic City. Whether it’s a Rock & Roll concert, a famous comedian, or a championship-boxing bout, the nation’s top names in sports, music and entertainment perform here on a regular basis.
While it seems the other Park Place Entertainment casino properties (Hilton, Bally’s, Claridge) have fallen prey to a perpetual invasion of elderly nickel-slot fanatics, Caesars has somehow maintained a youthful energy since its 1979 inception. While some of this may have to do with their relatively hip entertainment billing, most of it can be attributed to the Temple Bar & Grill, located inside the Temple Lobby. A trendy crowd of twenty- and thirty-somethings sit at the bar sipping specialty martinis while others dine on sushi, caviar, salad, pasta, and a variety of other entrees, all in a sophisticated Roman setting of columns, satin draperies and palm trees.
There are many other dining options at Caesars. From a hearty breakfast at Café Roma, to a casual lunch at the Tuscany Grill, to a savory gourmet dinner at The Bacchanal, there’s something cooking for everyone. To assemble a meal your own way, the buffet at La Piazza features a breakfast bar (with made-to-order omelets), salad and dessert stations, as well as a wide selection of lunch and dinner entrees. Caesars is also home to a Planet Hollywood - accessed either via the casino floor or the Boardwalk - serving a dynamic array of American cuisine in a setting that brims with Hollywood memorabilia.
A host of property amenities are available for all ages. Stroll along Caesars’ shopping district, the Appian Way, offering everything from extravagant jewels to economical accessories. Relax by the outdoor pool (seasonal), or pamper yourself with a visit to the Health Spa and enjoy a wide range of treatments, including a fitness center, a sauna, steam room and whirlpool, tanning facilities, massage therapy, body wraps and more. The Bellezza Salon offers services for men and women including hair styling, skin care and nail treatments.
During the summer, Caesars has its own sandy shores where you can enjoy the sun and surf of Atlantic City’s famous beaches. Rent beach chairs and umbrellas or even a cabana for a personal, romantic beachside retreat. (Atlantic City lifeguards on patrol May through September). The Sand Box beach bar sits directly on the beach and serves a variety of cocktails with some live entertainment as well.
Caesars offers the best location of any casino resort in town. Centrally located at the base of the Atlantic City Expressway in midtown Atlantic City, guests can walk to 10 other casino properties, as well as numerous non-casino restaurants, nightspots and attractions throughout the area. In addition, Caesars is connected to Bally's and Trump Plaza, offering a diverse selection of entertainment. Directly across the Boardwalk from Caesars is the old Ocean One Pier, which has been refurbished by Caesars’ parent company and is now called “Park Place on the Boardwalk”. Not yet open, the new complex is themed after the board game Monopoly and will feature upscale shops, restaurants, live entertainment, and a skywalk to Caesars.
