40/40 Club
EDITORIAL REVIEW
There are many exclusive VIP rooms (reserved with names like ESPN, Caesars, A-Rod). The main TV has 'stadium' like seating by the main bar-perfect for watching the big game in style. As you might have guessed, the music at the 40/40 is bumpin'. It's a mix of rap and hip hop that keeps the mood upbeat. There's a DJ booth that overlooks the main bar area and it's not unusual to see some dancing at half time or late night. The club is also home to a retail shop that features 40/40 Club clothing and accessories.
Rap Star and mogul Jay-Z owns the $4 million club along with partners Desiree Gonzalez and Juan Perez. The enormous 15,000 square foot ultra sports bar and lounge opened in October 2005 with a star-studded VIP party. VIP Opening Pictures
Rumors of fights and disorderly behavior from patrons have plagued the 40/40 since its opening, but our staff has never witnessed any problems there. The closest thing to a riot we've seen there was when our staff received the bill for the evening. The food and drinks are good, but they're very pricey.
Big Pimpin Jay-Z Style
There are three great VIP rooms at the 40/40 that are available for a more intimate party - hang with the posse or have an elegant affair with flava.
Caesars Diamond Club
Inspired by Jay's favorite casino, this room can hold up to 70 people. It has its own entertainment center and 60" plasma TVs that are controlled by
touch screen remotes. Unlike the casino, you're automatically a winner here.
A-Rod Room
Inspired by a member of the 40/40 club, the A-Rod (Alex Rodriguez) room has all the features of the Caesars room including pool table and an Italian leather wrap-around couch.
ESPN Room
The ESPN Hall of Fame Lounge, is 46' X 20' and can hold up to 150 guests. The walls are adorned with pictures of some of the greatest athletes of all time. It also has a private balcony that overlooks the main bar area and big screen TVs.
