Gypsy Bar

Mixx may draw the young party people; mur.mur may have all the glam, but for our money Gypsy Bar is where Borgata closes the deal. No other casino has such a strong emphasis on hip, live bands. I said hip, not the lounge acts that are doing their spin on "Copacabana" or worse yet "Crazy in Love." If I have to hear another singer who is older than the combined ages of Jay-Z and Beyonce do this song again, I'll rip my ears right off my head.

Expect to hear some really great local bands in a chic, but small club. Gypsy only has 87 seats in the house, so get there early and camp out for the evening. After all, you never know who will drop in. It's not unusual for superstars to come in and perform a couple of songs after they get off stage in the main arena.

Enjoy drinks such as the Gypsy Sangria, pomegranate margaritas, 80 tequilas and 15 beers - just not all in the same night. Gypsy is always worth the trip.
