Providence Nightclub

The newest club to open in Atlantic City, Providence is a New York-style nightclub that's been popular since the day it opened late last year. They got the party started right with celebrity DJ Nick Cannon (before he became Mr. Mariah Carey) and have never looked back.

Providence in Atlantic City is the sixth entertainment venture for Metronome Hospitality Group, their second venue outside of New York City.  All of their clubs are known as much for their impeccable taste as for their celebrity following, which includes video shoots for Justin Timberlake, album releases for John Legend, Ludacris, and Elvis Costello, and wrap parties for "The Sopranos" and "The Apprentice". 

Doors open at 10pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The music is mostly house, progressive house, mash-up and electronica, but nothing is out of the question.

You'll find all the requisite club usuals such as VIP lists, bottle service, private tables and in-house dancers - except that all are done very well.

Where does Providence rank in the AC club scene? Well it's better than Mixx but not as good as Casbah. If you're in the Quarter and want to boogie, it's a no-brainer that you'll end up in Providence. Must be 21 to enter, Ladies get comp admission on Thursday and Friday nights until midnight. Dress to impress; dress code is actually enforced.
