When it's too cold for the beaches, or your budget only allows for a few hours in the gaming hall, or you need somewhere to take the kids, the Flyer's Skate Zone is the answer for you. From public skating sessions, to hockey games, private parties, lessons, tournaments, giveaways and much more, the Skate Zone offers a wide array of fun and entertainment for the entire family.
Flyers Skate Zone is dedicated to the development of youth hockey. Their Youth Hockey programs are designed to provide the recreational hockey player an opportunity to participate and have fun playing the sport. From youth to adult programs, participants are provided with a highly instructional experience, with the focus both on fun and participation. Each player receives equal playing time, and teams will be as balanced as possible. Check out a wide range of ice hockey clinics, camps and programs to satisfy your ice hockey needs, or experience one of the occasional tournaments.
Learn to skate with Flyers Skate Zone's professional instructors. They teach the USFSA Basic Skills Program which has been developed as a fun, challenging and rewarding program for beginners. Participation in the program will enable skaters of all ages and levels to learn the fundamentals of ice skating and the opportunity to go on to be a competitive or recreational figure skater or hockey player.
Don't forget about the Game Zone, offering a variety of today's newest video games, as well as Flyers Air Hockey, Bubble Hockey, 76ers Pop-a-shot and more. Hungry skaters can visit the Snack Zone, offering a variety of menu items, including pizza, chicken fingers, cheesesteaks, fries and more.
Opened October 27, 1999, the 38,000-square-foot structure is located adjacent to Sandcastle Stadium (home to the Atlantic City Surf baseball team), just minutes from downtown Atlantic City. The Flyer's Skate Zone offers a pro shop and skate rentals. For more information on the numerous hockey or skating programs, or to find out about the public skating sessions call (609) 441-1780.
