Operated under Captain Brian DiLeo, c/o of the Iowa Fortune Guide Service, DiLeo brings 25 years of experience to the boat, 8 years as a full time professional guide. Enjoy a day of fishing for Striped Bass on the shallow water flats or explore deeper waters in search of Bluefish and Weakfish, among other adventures.
What separates Iowa Fortune from the other charters is that DiLeo allows no more than two passengers at a time per trip. This makes for a much classier and more rewarding time on the water than that experienced on larger, tourist-crowded charters. Furthermore, clients are provided with personal instruction and service. Both day and night trips are lessons in techniques, and strategies of non-traditional methods not often associated with Striped Bass fishing in southern New Jersey. The focus is on three specific techniques: back country, night fishing, and the much sought after sight fishing for Bass on the flats. Each one is unique in terms of setting and the techniques involved and all present a new set of challenges both for fly fishermen and light tackle anglers.
Iowa Fortune guides passengers along southern New Jersey waters from Atlantic City to Cape May, with great fishing just minutes from the dock so none of your valuable fishing time is lost traveling. It is best to book by email or phone. (Two passengers maximum). A half-day charter is four hours and a full day is seven hours. Bring food and plenty to drink. A cooler will be provided in which to stow refreshments. A $100 deposit is required to hold each day. Your reservation will be held for 7 working days pending arrival of deposit. The confirmation of your booking will be sent by mail upon receiving your deposit.
